Safety features such as guardrails, toe boards, and access ladders must be present and secure, while foundations should remain firm and level with base plates and sole boards correctly positioned to withstand environmental conditions. Documentation of each inspection, including date, inspector’s name, location, findings, and corrective actions, must be recorded and displayed on-site with a visible tag indicating whether the scaffold is safe for use, unsafe, or under repair.
